Can surgery save ObamaCare?

ObamaCare is now being reconsidered by Congress.

Should ObamaCare be operated on, or should it simply be eliminated? If the goal is to improve the health of U.S. citizens, it should be eliminated unless evidence can be provided to show that socialized medicine is an exception to the Iron Law of Regulation.

The book by Sally Pipes suggests that the free market would be the most sensible solution if the goal is to provide good care at a reasonable cost. If the goal is to redistribute income, there are more efficient ways to do that.

For additional explanations of why a free market would increase welfare, see Gratzer’s “The Cure: How Capitalism Can Save American Health Care”. The book’s Forward was written by Milton Friedman.

Our Fox News article of Dec 24, 2013, “Experimenting with health care—does ObamaCare harm or hurt?” explained why ObamaCare would fail.
