A Royal Affair

The primary conflict of A Royal Affair is a true story about the 18th-century King of Denmark, who is a lunatic, and his German doctor Johann Friedrich Struensee, who ends up serving as the Royal Advisor of Denmark and de facto lawmaker, pushed to abolish of censorship and torture, as well as eliminate much of the influence of aristocrats. In retaliation, the well-known political figure Høegh-Guldberg then launches a coup and kills Struensee, subsequently overturning many of the reforms.
